Check Out These Fun Fall Events at the St. Pete Pier

Ahhhhh, fall. The summer swelter begins to recede, and the overall energy picks up around here. People get outdoors, sometimes even wearing long pants! And sleeves!

Fall events kick in, too.

After a very quiet fall last year, the St. Pete Pier is thrilled to finally celebrate the season with a series of lively, autumn-themed events. Here’s a rundown. It’s likely that more will be added, so check our Events page for new developments.

Sept. 25, Piertoberfest

Hey, why wait ’til October? The Pier gets a jump on fall beer fests with this German-themed Saturday, which will feature a generous selection of German-style beers — international, domestic and local — German food, live German music and wacky Bavarian games. (Up for a bit of keg tossing?) Piertoberfest is also a great opportunity to don traditional German garb, so dust off those lederhosen and that dirndl. (Or, y’know, wear jeans.)

The revelry happens at Spa Beach Park. You can buy single-day tickets ($10-$20) or spring for the VIP experience, which includes a collectible stein, a shaded VIP area with lounge seating, four drink tickets good for a pint each, and light snacks. Prices are $75 (pre-sale), $90 (advance) and $110 (at the gate). We can guarantee du wirst viel freude erleben. … Okay, we’ll translate: You will experience much joy. Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.

Fall Festival at the St. Pete Pier

Oct. 9-10, St. Pete Pier Fall Festival

The Pier will hum with a weekend of family-friendly activities, including entertainment, food trucks, a variety of vendors, a pumpkin patch and more. The event is free. With any luck, it just might be sweater weather. The fun takes place at Family Park.

Oct. 9-17, St. Pete Pier Pumpkin Patch

Enjoy classic fall fun from Saturday the 9th at Family Park. The Pumpkin Patch, one of the largest in the Bay area, will be held beneath the beautiful, flowing Bending Arc sculpture, and feature hay bales, autumn-themed refreshments, a photo booth and, of course, thousands of prime pumpkins. Buy one, take it home and carve it up. Operating hours vary.

Operating Hours:
Saturday, October 9th, 12pm to 9pm
Sunday, October 10th, 12pm to 8pm
Monday October 11th to Thursday October 14th, 5pm to 9pm
Friday, October 15th, 5pm to 9pm
Saturday, October 16th, 12pm to 9pm
Sunday, October 17th, 12pm to 6pm

Nov. 13, Gulp Coast Beer at the Pier

The Gulp Coast Craft Beer Trail, which guides visitors through 44 craft breweries in Pinellas County, has become one of our area’s popular endeavors. This one-day, one-location event eliminates the travel — those rideshare fares can really add up — and gives you a wide-ranging overview of the local craft beer scene. More than 20 local breweries are expected to participate. The event will be held at Family Park.
