If arriving via I-275, follow the interstate signs and exit onto I-375. I-375 becomes 4th Avenue North, and guests should follow that to the end, where it forms a T with Beach Drive. If guests wish to avoid some traffic, consider taking a left on Beach Drive, then a right on 5th Avenue North, and a right on Bayshore Drive. You will find the Pier entrance on the next left.

The St. Pete Pier offers more than 500 on-site parking spaces, including six electric vehicle charging stations. There is also extensive bike parking and access via the Downtown Looper and Central Avenue Trolley.

Peak traffic and parking demand typically occur on Fridays from 4:00 PM–9:00 PM and Saturdays from 1:00 PM–8:00 PM. Visitors arriving during these periods may wish to use nearby off-site parking options located approximately three blocks from the Pier.

Overflow parking is available at the Sundial Parking Garage and Al Lang Parking Lot, both within walking distance of the Pier.

Enter the Sundial Parking Garage via 2nd Street North, just south of 2nd Avenue North, and then access the Pier by walking east on 2nd Avenue. Alternatively, the Al Lang Parking Lot entrance is located on 1st Avenue South between Beach and Bayshore Drive. Access the Pier by walking north on Bayshore Drive. Dolphin and Pelican Lots: Payment can be made by credit card, via the ParkMobile App, or in cash at Pay Machines located throughout both parking lots.

Oversized Vehicles

Any vehicle that requires more than one regular space to park is not allowed to park on the Pier. Oversized vehicles such as school buses, shuttles, and RVs at or under 30 feet of length can load and unload in the bus lane in the Pelican parking lot.

• Any vehicle over 30 feet in length must unload and load off of the Pier’s Property.
• The bus lane is not a parking space and once unloading has been completed the driver must leave property and stage/park off the Pier.

• First 4 hours: $2.50 per hour
  • 5th hour: $3.50
  • 6th hour: $4.50
  • Maximum stay: 6 hours

On-Street Meters

• First 3 hours: $2.50 per hour
  • 4th hour: $5
  • Maximum stay: 4 hours
  • Total for 4 hours: $12.50

Metered parking is enforced daily from 9:00 AM–10:00 PM.

Payment may be made by credit card, cash, or the ParkMobile app.

We have a limited number of boat slips for short-term tie-ups at the Pier! Docking is first-come, first-served. No reservations. Learn more about our boat slips here.

The Downtown Looper provides convenient transportation throughout downtown St. Petersburg, including service near the Pier. Find the up-to-date trolley schedule here.

Service is currently not running but is is anticipated to start again in Fall of 2026.

Visitors can travel from Tampa across the bay using the Cross Bay Ferry. Please visit www.thecrossbayferry.com for tickets and information.

The SunRunner Bus Rapid Transit system offers convenient access to the Pier. The closest stop to the Pier is 5th Street N (Stop #1111). Once you get off at that stop, continue down 1st Ave N towards the water. You’ll pass Jannus Live on the right and Starbucks on the left. Once you hit South Straub Park, you’ll see the entrance to the Pier ahead. For more information, visit the SunRunner’s site.
