After nearly two decades, a beloved Florida tradition is making its long-awaited comeback! The iconic Vdubs on the Pier car show is returning downtown to the St. Pete Pier on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bringing with it a colorful sea of over 100 classic Volkswagen vehicles, a variety of local food trucks, vendors, and all-around family-friendly vibes — and it’s free to the public.

Originally held from 1996 to 2006, Vdubs on the Pier was one of the bay areas most cherished air-cooled automotive gatherings, drawing enthusiasts from across the Southeast. Now, it’s back for Round 2 — bigger, bolder, and set to create new generations of smiles, memories, and community.

“This isn’t just a car show — it’s a celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and connection,” said the event organizer Joe Person from Salty Dub, the group bringing this legend back to life. “Whether you’re a lifelong VW fan or just looking for something cool to do on a holiday weekend, Vdubs on the Pier has something for everyone.”

Expect to see everything from vintage Beetles and camper buses to custom-built air-cooled masterpieces. With the picturesque St. Pete Pier as the backdrop, this event is guaranteed to be a visual spectacle and a social media sensation.
